 2005 aMaurice Premier Red Blend Walla Walla Valley The 2005 Red Blend is a delicate, yet impressive blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Cabernet Franc, 17% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot and 2% Malbec. At first sight, the wine is a garnet red with deep purple hues emerging around the corners. In the nose, rose petal is delicately framed by plum, cigar-box spice and cassis. The mouth is smooth, rich, full-bodied, round with supple tannins. The plum and cherry notes really follow through and make this meaty wine fairly juicy at the same time. It backs with lingering chocolate-raspberry truffle, and spicy tobacco undertones.
